FireFox and embedded sounds

Is it possible to get FireFox to play embedded sounds, such as those used on this web site? I cannot even listen to audio profiles with this broser. Both Java and JavaScript are enabled. Also, I've allowed popups on this site, only.

Thanks,

Dave

It should work now, assuming you have quicktime installed, ask me if it doesn't and you need help ssetting it up.

Thanks, I think I've got it. I had quicktime, but, the plugin finder couldn't find it, aftfirst. I upgraded to 7, restarted machine, all's well.

Greetings!

The &quot all's well&quot in message #3 of this thread was, I'm afraid, premature. Yes, the sounds play as expected. However, it can take as much as 12 seconds, from the time I hit a Zone link or button, to the playing of a sound. Perhaps, I installed toe wrong version of the QT player? The one I installed is bundled with ITunes and is part of a 30 MB package. Maybe there's a light version I didin't see, that is designed to work only as a fast browser plugin? Please advise.

Cheers,

Dave

I refuse to install quick time just to play sounds on a website. that's retarded. Firefox needs a better system in place.

Do you have cashing turned on in firefox? I have no problems with sounds taking a long time to load, that's all I can think of.

Everyone who had quicktime issues try this alternative. http://www.free-codecs.com/QuickTime_Alternative_download.htm
